Using the interface

This guide walks you through the primary navigation elements and essential features of Telescope Labs, helping you effectively use the interface.

Sidebar navigation

The left-hand sidebar in Telescope Labs is your main navigation tool, providing access to all the different capabilities:

  • Home: This is your starting point, providing highlights and quick access to other features.

  • Ask a Question: Ask new questions and review historical conversations.

  • Dashboards: View and modify dashboards to view key metrics and data visualizations.

  • Data flow: Configure the data processing steps from data connection all the way up to defining metrics.

  • Chart builder: Create custom charts and graphs based on your data.



Profile settings

Located in the top right corner, the profile icon is your go-to for personal and administrative settings:

  • Account Settings: Manage your account, product plan and change your avatar.

  • People: Manage people in your organization. For more details see: How to manage your team.

  • Theme: Switch between light and dark themes.

  • Sign out: Log out of your currently signed-in account.

  • Get support: Request help from the Telescope Labs team.

  • Documentation: See our knowledge base to help use Telescope Labs more effectively..



Project switcher

In the bottom left, you are able to switch between your different projects to look at different data sets.

  • Project details: Edit basic details of the current project.

  • Recently visited: Quickly return to projects you've worked on recently.

  • My projects: Switch context to any of your organization’s projects.

  • Create project: To create a new empty project with new data connections.



Breadcrumb trail

The breadcrumb trail at the top helps you track your location within Telescope Labs, and navigate back up the hierarchy.  For example if you are editing a graph within a specific dashboard you will see: “Dashboards / My Dashboard A / Edit graph 123” with each link being clickable.
